The Milwaukee Brewers are the 2026 World Series Champions. The Brew Crew defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in five games. Congratulations.

Games 1 and 2 in Milwaukee were close and could’ve gone either way with the Brewers taking both by one run in each games. Brewers then took Game 3 in Tampa in a 10-0 blowout. The Brewers were looking for a sweep.

Game 4 the Rays found a stay of execution with a thrilling 12-inning win. The Rays gave up one run in the top of 12th and then facing elimination got the two runs they needed to survive another day. Game 5 featured the two aces of their squads; Jacob Misiorowski for the Brewers vs. Drew Rasmussen, who pitched for the Rays on short rest. Rasmussen is a legit ace who has been on a hot streak, but the Rays only threw him for four innings. He gave up one run on 48 pitches. Misiorowski, who got the win, threw 5 and 2/3 scoreless innings and gave up only two hits. The Brewers closed it out in Game 5 with a 4-1 win.

World Series MVP is catcher William Contreras. He hit very well in the clean-up spot and threw out three base runners. He was also right nearly every time in his ABS challenges for his pitchers. He certainly takes a lot of punishment behind the plate. Misiorowski led the league in pitches over 100mph and he isn’t the only flame-thrower on the staff. I love to see a backstop win MVP.

This is a very good Brewers team who has been good the last several years. This season they had the best record in baseball at 103-59. They also had the best record in baseball last season at 97-65. They have won the National League Central Division five of the last six years. They are not coming out of left field for this championship; they are receiving what finally belongs to them. Their manager Pat Murphy deserves a lot of credit.

Possibly the difference between those good Brewers teams and this championship winning squad is their ace Jacob Misiorowski. He was the winning pitcher in Games 1 and 5. He was lights out in the playoffs. In a league where every team has a flame-thrower, Misiorowski throws the hardest at a consistent 103mph. That’s really impressive. He had a great season with a 16-5 record, and he led baseball with a 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts. He is the easy front-runner for the National League Cy Young.

Shout out to all the Brewers fans who stayed with their squad through thick and thin. This is the first World Series Championship for the Brewers and only the second time they ever made it to a World Series, the first being back in 1982. Milwaukee sports fans have seen the Packers win the Super Bowl and even the Bucks win the NBA Championship. It’s been a long wait for the Brewers to join the championship column. Any time is the best time to win, but especially now is good for Milwaukee. The Packers have been down, Wisconsin football won’t win the Big Eighteen Ten anymore, and Giannis plays for the Heat. Milwaukee needs this and the Brewers have been patiently waiting.

The team is worthy and the timing is right. Cheers to the Milwaukee Brewers for a hard earned and well-deserved World Series win.
