House Democrats have chosen election denier Rep. Hakeem Jeffries as their next Minority Leader. He takes the place of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who has stepped down from leadership but will remain in her congressional seat.
Jeffries is an election denier and a sore loser. Here’s a tweet he still has up calling our last president illegitimate-
He even used a hashtag for Russian interference. That was all a hoax, of course. It is embarrassing that anyone in Congress could’ve believed that nonsense.
Here’s another tweet, still up on the election denier’s account, that shows him saying on the House floor the 2016 election was rigged.
This guy is nuts. Those tweets were from 2018 and 2019. He has denied the results of the 2016 election numerous times. He’s not a fringe member of the Democrat Party, he’s the new leader.
Promoting an election denier is a bad choice. Georgia rejected election denier Stacey Abrams this year in their gubernatorial race; House Democrats should’ve learned from that.
Democrats could’ve taken the high ground by rejecting an election denier as their congressional leader, but nope, they picked Rep. Hakeem Jeffries. Election integrity is an important issue. Clearly, the Democrats’ new leader has disqualified himself from speaking seriously on a serious issue.
