The Department of Justice has announced that they will have officials on the ground in a total of 64 jurisdictions in 24 states on Election Day.
Virginia has three jurisdictions on that list; the City of Manassas, the City of Manassas Park, and Prince William County. Those localities are in the 7th and 10th Congressional Districts, both seats are held by Democrats running for re-election, and both races are listed nationally as close ones to watch.
The DOJ said in a press release their goal is “to ensure that all qualified voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots and have their votes counted free of discrimination, intimidation, or fraud in the election process, and to ensure that our elections are secure and free from foreign malign influence and interference.”
There is no reason to feel intimidated on Election Day. Show up and vote.
